Dubai Guide | What to See and Visit

Dubai is a city of tinsel, artifical, luxury for luxury, boasting and an absolute lack of control of urban growth and environmental sustainability. 20% of the world's cranes are in this Dubai city tours in the middle of the desert.

The truth is that before going, it was a place that had always caught my attention, and this time since our flight was com Emirates and a friend of mine resides there, we decided to do a stopover of a couple of days and take advantage of the infrastructure.

I must also admit that our entry into the country was not the most friendly and hospitable in the world. Upon arrival around 11 o'clock at night, we had more than an hour in a control at the exit (they would not like our face..) with a more than exhaustive record (almost bordering on privacy deprivation - they opened us up to the individual strips that I always carry in my purse), after searching for some "hidden treasure". A few pills of propolis-licorice that I always wear as a candy for the throat (very similar to the typical juanalas of a lifetime), they were found to be so suspiciously dangerous that they had us there so much more, asking what was that and not without first calling three more policemen to, among all, be able to draw conclusions. The pills were obviously going to stop the garbage.

First of all I notice that the fact of going into full August, with temperatures of almost 50º and also in full Ramadan (without being able to drink even a measly bottle of water on the street to avoid dehydration, without having to hide), possibly made everything detract a little more and enjoy less, I do not doubt it. But I think that even in more benign times there is not much to wander around (there are simply no streets), apart from the area of Burj Khalifa Trips Dubai, Deira and the Creeks, which is the oldest area of Dubai (relatively old) and personally the only one I found interesting.
On the other hand, I also recognize that only two days are not enough to say that you know a place, and without a doubt, surely we leave very interesting places to visit for lack of time. But I think two days are more or less enough to get an idea of the most interesting.

After this inevitable introduction, and trying to be as objective as possible, I will detail the most interesting places in the city in case you ever plan to travel to Dubai. Whether you like it or not (as was my case), it is undoubtedly a place that will not leave you indifferent and worth visiting at least once in your life.

WHAT TO SEE IN DUBAI
In my opinion it is better to start the tour through Dubai, for its "old" area, but since our first day in Dubai was Friday (a holiday in the Muslim world) we did it in reverse and we started by visiting the area of the shopping centers and the most bizarre places.
The best thing is that you combine it in such a way that you can take a tour starting at one end of the city and ending in another, since the city is very long. The meters work perfectly and taxis are not expensive. And although you go in a time when you can be out in the open (in August it was almost impossible) you will need some kind of transport to get from one place to another.
